Derrick Milano Proposes To Angela White, A.K.A. Blac Chyna, At Howard Homecoming
Angela White and Derrick Milano are gearing up to say, “I do!,” after he popped the question to the 36-year-old media personality, formerly known as Blac Chyna, onstage at Howard University’s 100th Homecoming on Friday (Oct. 18).
The 30-year-old Grammy-winning songwriter-producer first serenaded his lady with a live rendition of Mario’s “Let Me Love You“—which seems to be their song. Midway through the touching performance, he got down on one knee to propose and White tearfully said yes.
The announcement featured other monumental clips of how “Let Me Love You” has impacted Milano’s life, including when he performed it 13 years ago. He captioned the news with a heartfelt sentiment to the mother of two.
“Angela Renee White, I can go on and on about how much you mean the world to me & never get tired of it,” Milano wrote. “I’ve found so much peace since we’ve met. & GOD put us in each other’s lives for a reason & for a purpose. Everyday with you feels everlasting & it is such a blessing to call you my fiancée. I love you so much!”
Milano continued, “Thank you for letting me love you & thank you for loving me equally. This is what it’s all about.”
The artist and White have been dating since May 2023 and made their relationship Instagram-official last September.
“You won’t be able to say power couple without mentioning Angela White & Derrick Gray! They always say don’t go looking for love, let love find you. In this case love found us,” she gushed to PEOPLE around the same time.
