All the Details on Jordan Heller, 'Golden Bachelorette' Favorite and Chicago Stan
Currently planning your week around when/where to watch The Golden Bachelorette? You are not alone. Like: if you need me on Thursday mornings when I'm busy "at work" (read: curled up under a blanket watching Hulu), don't!
While Bachelor Nation is a mess at the best of times, The Golden Bachelorette is a wholesome respite—where the majority of Joan Vassos' contestants simply want to find love in their twilight years (vs. become reality TV stars/influencers).
Which brings us to one of our fave frontrunners: 61-year-old sales executive Jordan Heller, who greeted Joan with a hug before getting adorably tongue-tied. Jordan is also the one who inspired the whole Golden Bach crew to play pickleball, the preferred activity of all men over 60.
Obviously, it's time to get to know Jordan better, so head below for details + spoilers.
Jordan Has Three Daughters
He told Joan family is "everything" to him but also made it clear to ABC's bio writer (bless!) that he's an extremely devoted father. As they put it, "This dad is extremely family-oriented and is very close with his three daughters and three brothers. When Jordan isn’t working, he loves walking his dog, Mickey, along the lake, enjoying deep-dish pizza from Lou Malnati’s, and playing ping-pong." Obviously that deep dish pizza reference brings us to the fact that....
He Is VERY Into Chicago
Some of the first words out of Jordan's mouth when he sat down with Joan on night one? "I'm a Chicago boy, I live in downtown Chicago." Like, the man even got her grandchildren some Chicago merch.
He Dated Taylor Dayne
Taylor is an iconic '80s singer who popped up on The Golden Bachelorette's prom episode to belt out her hit "Tell It To My Heart," and Jordan realized they used to date! While this would have been a whole THING on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, Joan thought their past history was equal parts amusing and exciting, and couldn't wait to gush about it on camera.
Jordan Wants Someone to Grow Old With
Per ye olde ABC, "Jordan is warm and funny and really wants to meet a woman to grow old with. He hopes to find someone who loves being outside and trying new restaurants. Jordan also hopes his future wife isn’t afraid to be silly and have fun because he doesn’t take life too seriously. Life is never boring when Jordan is around, and he plans to make the most out of every second he has with Joan!"
Oh, and as for his "fun facts" (always a journey), Jordan "misses the days when visitors would stop by unannounced," "won a 'Mr. Legs' contest in college," and "loves Thanksgiving for the food, family, and football."
So...how far does Jordan make it on Joan's season?
SPOILERS AHEAD!
According to longtime Bachelor Nation spoiler source Reality Steve, Jordan makes it to Hometown Dates....which is when he's sent home, womp.
Still, making it to the final four is pretty major—and puts Jordan in the running to be chosen as the next Golden Bachelor. Oh, and if you wanna know who wins....
