Diane von Furstenberg Cheekily Reveals She Once Slept with Richard Gere
Diane von Furstenberg just got real about her fling with Richard Gere!
In a new episode of Watch What Happens Live that aired on Thursday, von Furstenberg, 72, sat down with host Andy Cohen to play a game called “DVF or WTF?” During the game, an announcer read facts about the legendary designer, while Cohen and fellow guest Julianne Moore had to guess if the statements were true or false.
“Back in the day, DVF had a brief love affair with Richard Gere,” the first fact read.
Cohen guessed the statement was true, while Moore said it was false, saying, “I’m going to go with ‘What the f—?’ “
Von Furstenberg cheekily responded, “Well, it was a f—,” to huge cheers and laughs from the audience.
Among the other facts revealed about the designer were that she always keeps herring stocked in her fridge and that she can swim for two hours straight.
Though he may have once slept with von Furstenberg, Gere, 69, is now happily married.
The actor and his wife Alejandra Silva, 35, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, in February.
Gere shares 19-year-old son Homer James Jigme with ex-wife Carey Lowell, while Silva is also mom to a 6-year-old son named Albert from a previous marriage.

Gere and Silva had known each other for over a decade before they first began dating in 2014. In April 2018, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE they married “weeks and weeks ago” and are “extraordinarily happy.”
“They’re so comfortable with each other, have fun together and are looking forward to their future together,” the insider revealed of Silva and the Pretty Woman actor.
