Did Chicago P.D. Tease Car Crash? Are Grey’s Doc’s Days Numbered? Did DWTS Scores Not Jibe? Was SEAL Team Sentry Blind? And More TV Qs!
We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about Grey’s Anatomy, #OneChicago, Matlock, Dancing With the Stars and more!
| On SEAL Team, how is it that the team’s comms are always on in the field — except when Sonny and Davis are talking openly about their relationship, then they’re suddenly off? Also, are we to believe that the cartel sentry (circled below) didn’t clearly see Sonny or any of the five Bravo members walking ahead of him (in foreground)? ▼

| If Matlock’s Matty only takes the bus one stop, would she really bother sitting down (let alone have time to pensively stare out the window)? Or is she just playing it safe in case a colleague spots her? Also, Matty’s young fellow legal assistants have never heard of the TV show Matlock, but they somehow know enough to make a winking reference to Angela Lansbury and Murder, She Wrote?
| “A additional”? Who wrote this line of Rescue HI-Surf dialogue? ▼ And as TVLine reader Robert notes, where did the dozens of surfers in the ocean disappear to when the opening drowning happened?
| Did even Voice faves Niall Horan and/or Chance the Rapper win you over faster than new coach Snoop Dogg? And as cute as Gwen Stefani’s kitten was, can we please, please, please stop using animals as props?
| If you weren’t previously familiar with Rossif Sutherland, were you wondering what if any accent the Murder in a Small Town lead was trying to hide, only to Google and realize he is simply Canadian? Also, were you surprised how much romantic plot the first episode burned through? (They flirt! They hook up! There’s a misunderstanding! Then a betrayal! And already a detente!) Also, is it a bit unusual for a TV series to establish that a character (in this case, someone not named Molly) owns the real-life location you are filming at and not disguising? ▼
| We don’t usually question Dancing With the Stars’ scoring, but how could Carrie Ann Inaba think Jenn Tran and Eric Roberts — who gave performances of very different quality — both deserved sixes?
| After watching this week’s Only Murders in the Building, don’t you kinda-sorta wish the Oliver Putnam-directed VH1 original Singin’ in the Rain 2 starring Gary Busey was a real TV-movie?
| Chicago Med viewers, were you completely charmed by Darren Barnet’s Dr. Frost as soon as he flashed that smile? (How in the world did Maggie resist?)
| Any other Chicago Fire fans nervous about Novak potentially developing a crush on the new chief?
| During the Chicago P.D. premiere’s closing scene, were you anxiously expecting Ruzek’s car to get T-boned?
| Can the mayoral drama that Blue Bloods has on tap for its final episodes possibly compare to real-life New York City Mayor Adams’ indictment?
| On Survivor, if three out of four of his tribemates already knew he found the beware advantage, why didn’t Sam go for the upgraded idol? And who do you think was more blindsided by the vote, TK or Kyle?
| Is the diner that Grotesquerie’s Sister Megan and Father Charlie visited the same one where Euphoria’s Rue spent Christmas Eve with Ali? ▼ Anyone else see the series title and sing it in your head like Mary J. Blige sings “dancery” in “Family Affair”? Just us? And why isn’t Grotesquerie just a season of American Horror Story? Is this why we’re not getting a new AHS this fall?
| With dueling rom-coms Nobody Wants This and Colin From Accounts premiering on the same day, is it just a coincidence that Nobody Wants This’ Joanne also nearly hit a scruffy little dog with her car before taking him home? And which of Kristen Bell’s former Veronica Mars and Good Place co-stars were you most delighted to see make a surprise guest appearance on Nobody Wants This?
| Were you surprised when the fantastical Doctor Odyssey revealed that Dr. Max was patient zero during the COVID pandemic? Are you hoping that that’s the first and only time that COVID is a plot point on this otherwise escapist show? Also, would Max — and not any of the trained lifeguards on staff! — be the one to jump into the ocean to retrieve a man overboard?
| Although Grey’s Anatomy’s Sydney is a lot, would the residents really prefer to be yelled at than doted on? Didn’t Mika and Jules’ steamy kiss only make it more infuriating that Midori Francis is being written out? ▼ And what do you think: Will this finally be the season that Catherine meets her maker?
| Do Meta’s Orion AR glasses come with the Intersect pre-installed, or… ? ▼
| Why do you think the voiceover guy for Joker: Folie à Deux TV commercials isn’t saying the “Folie à Deux” part of the movie’s title? Is someone in marketing afraid that people will think the DC sequel is a subtitled foreign film?
| Is the “I Wanna Pay With You Everywhere” jingle from the PayPal/Will Ferrell commercial stuck in anyone else’s head?
| Did The View really think it was appropriate to cap a discussion on gifting spouses nude pics as a birthday gift by casually mentioning that, on a “sad note,” Dame Maggie Smith had passed away?
