The first thing on Ferris’ bucket list for his day off was for he and his friend, Cameron (Alan Ruck), to take the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder — the prize possession of Cameron's father — and go for a joyride. The duo go for a (long) spin and then head to pick up Ferris' girlfriend, Sloane (Mia Sara), from school.

2. The trio head to Sears Tower

A successful day off wouldn’t be complete without a trip to a landmark! Ferris, Cameron and Sloane decide to climb to the top of Sears Tower, where they spend a few minutes looking out over the city.

Once Cameron realizes how many miles they've racked up on his father’s Ferrari, he has a meltdown, fearing the world of trouble he's in. But when they get back to his house, Cameron flips out — furious at the lack of caring his father shows towards him, which actually seems reserved for the vehicle — and repeatedly kicks the car. But what he didn't expect was that the car would roll backwards, crash through the window and fall a few stories below. No more Ferrari.
