Did Someone Just Lose Their Life On General Hospital?

The aftermath of Chase and Brook Lynn’s wedding on General Hospital left not only relationships hanging in the balance, but lives, too. And someone’s life may have just come to an end on the May 20, 2024 episode.

The Best Father

Despite Dex (Evan Hofer) being brought to the hospital for his injuries from Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) beat down and Kristina (Kate Mansi) breaking down over her father, the highlight of the episode was Gregory (Gregory Harrison).

Back home from the wedding, Violet (Jophielle Love, who celebrates her 10th birthday today and shares a birthday with this GH star) made plans with her grandfather to preserve her bouquet from the wedding. Gregory later had a deep conversation with Finn (Michael Easton) where he apologized for lashing out at his son for what happened between him and Jackie (Kim Delaney) and revealed his frustration with his worsening ALS, during which Finn called him the best father he knows.

Goodnight, Grandpa

After Finn helped his father into bed, Gregory lay there as memories fled his mind. Old photos of himself appeared on screen, as well as family photos and flashbacks of Finn and Chase (Josh Swickard) over the years.

Gregory also remembered moments he shared with loved ones, like reading to Violet, sky diving with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn, who recently hosted a real-life ALS fundraiser), and watching Chase marry Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). As Gregory closed his eyes to go to sleep, he heard Violet say, “Goodnight, Grandpa.”
