Did Taylor Swift buy a house in Bucks County? Here's what we know right now
(This story has been updated with new information.)
Could Taylor Swift's next era bring her to Bucks County?
The rumor mill certainly thinks so, as word spreads that the 34-year-old singer-songwriter and self-made billionaire may have purchased a home in Doylestown last month.
The supposed property — a 12,791-square foot house on nearly 100 acres in Plumstead Township — sold for $12.9 million on Aug. 09. But county property records have yet to reflect its new owner.
But while the rumors may be fun to contemplate, sources on Wednesday after this story was originally published told the USA Today Network, which includes the Bucks County Courier Times and The Intell, that Swift did not purchase the sprawling Central Bucks property.
Here's how the rumor got some momentum:
Is Good Pointe LLC a front for Taylor Swift? What public documents tell us about Twin Silo Road sale
Public documents filed in connection with the sale offer few clues into who is the buyer, other than someone with a lot of money.
Those records show that Good Pointe LLC purchased two parcels on Twin Silo Road and one parcel at the corner of Twin Silo Road and Point Pleasant Pike. The purchase price listed in the documents was $1 each.
The purchases appeared to have taken place between July 31 and Aug. 2, 2024, and they were all recorded with the Bucks County Recorder Of Deeds office on Aug. 9, according to records obtained through Landex.com.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of State, Good Pointe LLC registered in Delaware as a foreign Limited Liability Company on July 30, 2024. The registration did not list any names for company officers.
A phone number listed in the real estate transfer tax documents for Good Pointe LLC has a 615 area code, which covers the Nashville metropolitan areas and surrounding counties.
No one immediately returned a voicemail left at the number asking about Good Pointe LLC and its Doylestown purchase. The voice mail message did not identify who the number belonged to.
Swift has a three-bedroom penthouse in Nashville, near the heart of Music Row. She purchased it for $1.9 million in 2009. She also bought a Greek Revival-style estate in the Nashville suburb Forest Hills in 2011. This home is reportedly where her mother lives.
She owns homes in Beverly Hills, California, Rhode Island, and multiple properties in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood.
The closing agent with Delaware River Closing Services in New Hope declined to provide information about who Good Pointe LLC is citing privacy laws.
While the property records couldn't confirm whether Swift added to her massive real estate portfolio, sources said she did not buy in Doylestown.
Taylor Swift is a Pennsylvania native
Before her family moved to the suburbs of Nashville to help Swift pursue her musical career, People magazine reported Swift spent her childhood on a 15-acre Christmas tree farm in West Reading — less than a 90 minutes from Doylestown.
One of Taylor Swift's best friend Gigi Hadid has ties to Bucks County
The friendship between Swift and supermodel Gigi Hadid has made headlines over the years, as they've been seen together and supporting one another during their bigger life moments.
And with Hadid's ties to Bucks County — which include her mom, Yolanda, owning a horse farm in Solebury and rumors were swirling last year that Hadid's boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, was house-hunting in Bucks County — perhaps Swift had good reason to be in the area more often. The celebrity couple was spotted eating dinner in New Hope.
Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce has reasons to visit Philly suburbs
Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, shares a close bond with his brother, Jason Kelce, the recently retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles who lives in Haverford in nearby Delaware County.
With Swift's relationship growing more serious by the day with the Kansas City Chief tight end, it's conceivable the couple may want a comfortable place closer to family. However, sources say it won't be Bucks County.
