Why Duran Duran at Birds Nest is such a big win for the Open
Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling artists of all time. Their longevity and influence on pop culture are undeniable, and they have received accolades such as Grammy Awards, Brit Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Their 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame marked yet another career peak in a year that saw them headline London’s Hyde Park, perform at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, close the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and headline a tour of North America, which included sold out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden and three nights at the Hollywood Bowl.
Their groundbreaking music videos and pioneering use of technology in their art have left an indelible mark on the music industry.
This will be Duran Duran's first Valley concert since September 2022, when they treated the fans to a victory lap for the ages at Footprint Center.

Dierks Bentley is a crowd-pleasing hit machine with Phoenix roots
Bentley is always a good time, offsetting reflective songs as deeply felt as "Home" and "I Hold On" with such crowd-pleasing staples as "What Was I Thinkin'," "Sideways" and "Drunk on a Plane."
Next year marks 30 years since Bentley and his father loaded up the family truck so the aspiring country star could try his luck in Nashville.
And we all know how that turned out. He became one of the most successful country artists of his generation, sending 18 songs to No. 1 on Billboard’s country charts.
This will be Bentley’s first performance in metro Phoenix since his headlining set at Country Thunder Arizona in April.

Mitchell Tenpenny and his wife, Meghan Patrick, round out the Bentley bill
Tenpenny made his first appearance in the country Top 10 in 2013 with the breakthrough single "Drunk Me,” a song whose raw emotion and relatable lyrics struck a chord with audiences, earning him widespread recognition and accolades.
He’s gone on to earn two ACM Award nominations, a CMT Music Award nomination and eight No. 1 hits on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown. His hits include “Alcohol You Later,” “Anything She Says” and “We Got History,” which currently sits in the Top 20 at country radio.
Meghan Patrick, Tenpenny’s spouse, is a Canadian country music sensation whose powerful voice and songwriting talent have launched her to stardom. Her debut album, "Grace & Grit," earned critical acclaim.
Hardy has been drawing huge reactions on the Morgan Wallen tour
Hardy is a prolific country artist who has written songs for Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett and Morgan Wallen.
He topped the rock and country charts this year with his half-country, half-rock sophomore album, “The Mockingbird & the Crow” from Big Loud Records. Hardy is the reigning ACM Songwriter of the Year, the 2022 BMI Country Songwriter of the Year, and a two-time AIMP Songwriter of the Year.
He’s written 12 No. 1 singles since 2018, including his own double platinum chart-topper, “One Beer,” featuring Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson, and the platinum Dierks Bentley/Breland collaboration, “Beers on Me.”
He recently drew a huge reaction from a ballpark full of Morgan Wallen fans at Chase Field, having previously shared a Country Thunder Arizona bill with Wallen.
Kygo is a Birds Nest regular
This is Kygo’s third performance at the Coors Light Birds Nest. The internationally celebrated DJ/producer's previous appearances were in 2020 and 2022.
In late 2015, the Norwegian DJ reached 1 billion streams on Spotify faster than any other artist, and by June 2016, he had reached 2 billion streams. He could hit 15.5 billion streams before he takes the Birds Nest stage.
