Diplo confirms he has a son with former Miss Universe contestant in Mother's Day post

Diplo celebrated Mother's Day with a surprise announcement: He's a father of three.

The record producer and DJ, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, revealed Sunday that he has a newborn son with former Miss Universe contestant Jevon King.

Diplo shared three pictures on Instagram in a sweet Mother's Day post: A throwback photo of himself as a child with mother Barbara Jean; a picture of his ex Kathryn Lockhart hugging their sons Lazer, 5, and Lockett, 9; and a snapshot of King kissing their newest addition, Pace, who was born on March 20.

"Thanks for giving me life and helping me create it - the three strongest mothers in the world," Diplo wrote. "I'm still a work in progress but u have given three perfect beautiful boys. I love you all til the moon and back."

The record producer admitted that he was "hesitant" to share his baby news because he hasn't met his son while practicing social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"So I had an entire (expletive) baby during quarantine," Diplo wrote in another post. "I was hesitant to post him because not only does he already had a better haircut than me.. But also because I haven't met him yet since we are separated by a million miles and closed borders."

"His name is Pace, he and his mommy are super healthy and happy and I'm going to meet them as soon as we turn a corner on this world shutdown," Diplo added.

In honor of her first Mother's Day, King shared several pictures of Pace on her Instagram account. "In the midst of all this chaos you’ve been my peace," she wrote.

King represented Trinidad and Tobago in the Miss Universe 2014 pageant.

Ahead of Pace's arrival in March, Diplo said he's self-isolating from sons Lazer and Locket for their protection.

"My son's are too young to understand the complexities of what's happening," he wrote. "But they aren't anxious and nervous like the rest of us. They live in a house with their grandmother who is the most vulnerable. I have been in contact with hundreds of people in the past four weeks... And I'm staying away from the house until I am cleared of the virus."

He continued: "This hurts because I miss them so much they are what makes me wake up every day and live and breath, they are my ultimate joy, but this is my sacrifice to make sure everyone around me is safe.. I haven't had this much time home in years, and I wanted to build Legos and watch movies with them.. But for now im just going to stay by the window and listen to them play drums and sing for me."
