Kudos to Dirtybird for coming up with a creative marketing strategy for a music festival. Most camping festivals are kind of like campouts, right? But do they actually include s’more roasting, canoe trips and tug-of-war with your favorite DJs? No, probably not. Then again, most dance music fans aren’t quite so fanatical as those of the San Francisco-based label. Well, there’s all those #ShipFam people, but they’re kind of the same crowd.

Dirtybird is rewarding its loyal customers with another chance to get up close and personal with their ghetto booty tech house favorites Oct. 7 through Oct. 9. The second annual Dirtybird Campout just released its Phase 1 lineup, and it’s not just flock familia on the bill. Notable headliners include Machine Drum, a special live performance from Paranoid London, and the one-and-only mad, musical comedian Reggie Watts.
