DJ Paul Narrowly Avoids Car Crash In Switzerland: “Another Blessing!!!”

DJ Paul had a close call earlier this week after narrowly avoiding a severe car crash during a tour stop in Europe.

On Tuesday (Oct. 10), the Three 6 Mafia member shared his experience while documenting the aftermath of the incident on social media. He says it occurred when another vehicle on the road sped into a wall at around 70 miles per hour. In a video posted on Instagram, the 46-year-old can be seen filming from inside of the Mercedes Van he was riding in at the time, during which he shows the wrecked BMW M5 that nearly collided with his vehicle.

“Wow,” DJ Paul says in the clip, which also captures the debris left from the crashed BMW. “Man, we just almost got hit by a head-on collision with these dudes speeding around a corner,” he added in disbelief. The producer also extended well wishes to the occupants that were in the BMW at the time of the accident. In the post’s caption, DJ Paul expressed his gratitude for escaping the incident unscathed, noting that it’s the second car crash he and his team have avoided within the past year.

“Another Blessing!!!” the Academy Award winner wrote. “We Almost Had A Head On Collision On Tour, Second Time In A Year. This Time in Switzerland, When 2 Guys Came Speeding Down Hill Around The Corner Going Bout 70 Mph in A BMW M5 Straight Toward Our Mercedes Van & Lost Control Slamming Into The Concrete Barriers From The Trees & Hillside. Thank God No One Was Hurt.”

DJ Paul has experienced a tumultuous year thus far, as the Memphis native has had to contend with tragedy in his personal life. The rapper’s Three 6 Mafia groupmate, Gangsta Boo, passed away in January as a result of an accidental overdose, as a mix of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol was found in her system at the time of her death. Both DJ Paul, as well as Three 6 member Crunchy Black, have seemingly suggested that Gangsta Boo’s brother, Eric Mitchell, played a role in the rap star’s her death.

In August, DJ Paul addressed the rumors of Mitchell’s involvement, seemingly backing up claims made by Crunchy Black and various others that Gangsta Boo’s brother was involved in providing her the drugs that took her life. “Take the info to the authorities please, social media never solves any crimes,” the southern legend urged. “They have it. They have her phone and they know who did it.”
