Jenn’s final pick on season 21 of The Bachelorette is Devin Strader. However, things did not end up with a happily ever after for the pair. Their breakup was something that fans never saw coming. Jenn broke down in tears when she announced their split during the finale episode.

Is The Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran Engaged?

Jenn and Devin are no longer engaged. During the finale of Jenn's season of The Bachelorette, she ended up sending home Marcus Shoberg and declared that Devin was the guy for her. She told Jesse Palmer that she was going to be the one to propose to Devin at the final rose ceremony.

“I have to choose myself. I’m not going to let Devin propose to me today. I’m going to propose to Devin," she declared. "I just want to make a big gesture so that he can really know where my love is."

However, their proposal was not immediately aired, as Jenn revealed during After the Final Rose that Devin had ended their engagement over the phone.

"I promised my life to somebody who I thought was going to put every effort into the relationship," Jenn explained. "I didn’t feel that. I felt like I was secondary to everything in his life. He wasn’t introducing me to his family anymore. Every little thing made me feel secondary to his life and I didn’t understand why. We had a happy couple [weekend] planned sometime last month early and the night before I’d gotten a phone call. And he called me and basically broke off the engagement."

Jenn explained that some of Devin's behavior after their breakup was questionable, including when he followed Maria Georgas on Instagram, and when he went clubbing with Jeremy Simon in New York City despite telling Jenn he needed “time and space” to process his emotions.

After calling out Devin for making her feel "secondary" in his life, their proposal was aired on TV. Jenn had tears streaming down her face while watching it back.

Jenn’s failed engagement comes following her breakup from Joey Graziadei on season 28 of The Bachelor. Joey eliminated Jenn before hometown dates and she was named the lead of The Bachelorette during the live portion of his season’s finale in March 2024. She began filming her season just days later.

Who Is The Bachelorette’s Devin Strader?

Devin is a freight company owner from Houston, Texas, according to his ABC bio. He is “extremely hardworking, passionate about his career and proud of the business he’s built.” The Texas resident was 28 years old when he filmed The Bachelorette in the spring of 2024.

In his spare time, Devin likes to stay active by running and playing with his dog, Charlie. He is admittedly “a bit loud and loves to talk,” his bio reveals.

Devin founded his company F1 Freight Consultants LLC in March 2023. It is a “full-scale, dedicated Truckload, and LTL service provider, that offers top-tier transportation services and solutions to a wide variety of industries,” according to his LinkedIn. He previously served as the vice president of acquisitions for Shark Logistics, LLC from January 2020 until March 2023.

Before starting his career, Devin went to school at Louisiana State University. He graduated in 2019 from the E. J. Ourso College of Business at the college. Although Devin now lives in Texas, his Instagram bio reveals that he is from Louisiana and he also declares himself an “NYC enthusiast,” with various photos taken in the Big Apple.
