Does 'Twisters' have a post-credit scene? Sort of. Here's what to stick around for

The new Oklahoma-made "Twisters" film is set to hit theaters soon, with a brand new cast as opposed to the original 1996 movie starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell and Anthony Ramos.

The film is about Kate Cooper (Edgar-Jones) who is helping her friend Javi (Ramos) test a new tracking system, despite trauma from a past tornado encounter. In the process, she ends up meeting Tyler Owens (Powell), a social-media star who posts his storm-chasing adventures. The storm intensifies and Kate, Tyler and the rest of the crew fight for their lives as danger takes over central Oklahoma.

"Twisters" opens in theaters July 19.

Does 'Twisters' have a post-credit scene?

Sort of. "Twisters" has a mid-credit scene, but not an end credit scene, so wait a bit as credits start rolling, but you don't need to stay for them all.

How long is "Twisters"?

"Twisters" is 2 hours and 2 minutes long.

"Twisters" post-credit scene explained

In the mid-credit scene, it's revealed that Kate, Javi and Tyler have become business partners and Kate has become a celebrated weather science pioneer in her own right.

In the scene, Kate asks Tyler if she should get T-shirts made with her face on them, jokingly referring to the shirts he made earlier in the film that features the caricature of Tyler, his lasso and his truck, and read “Not My First Tornadeo.”

Though mostly played for laughs, the scene leaves the door open for another installment in the "Twisters" movie world.
