Dolph Lundgren’s 2 Daughters: All About Ida and Greta
Dolph Lundgren shares two daughters with his ex-wife Anette Qviberg
Dolph Lundgren has two daughters: Ida Lundgren and Greta Lundgren.
The Swedish actor shares his kids with his ex-wife, Anette Qviberg, and they are taking after him. Not only have Ida and Greta inherited their father’s striking looks, but they’ve also followed in his creative and fitness-minded footsteps.
In 1994, the actor married interior designer Qviberg, and two years later, the pair welcomed their first child, Ida. In 2001, their younger daughter, Greta, was born.
Despite his rising acting career, the Rocky IV star focused on fatherhood. “I had 10 years in Europe when my priority was to raise my kids outside of New York and Hollywood,” he told Men’s Health in 2012. He added that, even though he made films during that time, he “really didn’t put that much work into it.”
In 2011, Dolph and Qviberg divorced after 16 years of marriage. They had been living in Marbella, Spain, but following the split, Dolph moved back to Los Angeles to focus on his career.
On July 13, 2023, Dolph said “I do” once more. He and Emma Krokdal wed in Mykonos, Greece, surrounded by close friends and family.
Addressing their nearly 40-year age gap, the Creed II star told Graham Bensinger, "I feel like Emma is very mature for her age, for sure.”
Still, he was worried about what his kids would think, and told journalist Kjersti Flaa in an interview, "When I met Emma, I realized that it would be a bit strange telling my daughters about her. But they are both very open and emotionally mature and I have always been very open with them about everything. So, I told them.”
He added: “They are happy when I am happy. That’s the only thing that matters to them. Emma has been a gift to me. I think my daughters feel the same way.”
Here’s everything to know about Dolph Lundgren’s daughters: Ida and Greta.
Ida Sigrid Lundgren, 28
Dolph and Qviberg welcomed their first child, Ida, on April 29, 1996.
By the time she was born, Dolph was at the height of his fame thanks to films like Rocky IV (1985) and Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991). Still, Ida’s parents chose to raise her away from the spotlight. After living in Sweden for the first year of her life, the family moved to London and then Marbella, Spain, where she spent most of her childhood.
In an appearance on the web series Women’s World Show, Ida spoke about growing up with an actor father. Despite his hypermasculine on-screen persona, she said that Dolph couldn’t be further from his movie villain characters. “He’s very emotional,” she said. “He looks very macho, but very deep inside [he’s sensitive].”
She went on to say that he was the “tough” parent at home while Qviberg was more “relaxed,” adding that as a child, she was “very scared of him.”
Still, Ida said, "We’ve always had a very good relationship. Even if he was traveling a lot and working a lot when I was young, we still kept very close.”
Like her dad, Ida has pursued a career in the entertainment industry. After graduating from school, she signed with agencies like Wilhelmina, Trend, Mikas and Elite Model Management. However, her real passion lies in acting.
Ida made her on-screen debut at the age of 12 with a role in Command Performance (2009), an action film that her father directed. In 2021, she starred alongside her dad in the film Castle Falls.
“I loved working with her and she did a great job,” Dolph told SciFiNow of the experience. “She’s very natural and it was good to help her gain some more experience.”
He added that he knew firsthand how difficult the movie business can be, saying, “Everyone has a mentor or someone who believes in them, and I believe in her.”
In May 2023, Dolph shared that he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer eight years prior in an appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger. Ida also spoke to Bensinger, tearing up when talking about her dad’s cancer diagnosis.
Greta Eveline Lundgren, 21
Dolph and Qviberg’s younger daughter, Greta, was born on Nov. 30, 2001. Like her older sister, Greta had a European childhood, growing up between Spain and London. She also attended boarding school in Sweden.
When Qviberg was pregnant with Greta, Dolph spoke to Hello! magazine about becoming a dad for the second time. “The bond between father and daughter is very special, so I don’t mind having another girl,” he said.
In early 2023, Dolph gave his younger daughter a shout-out on his Instagram. “Spent some great days with my beautiful daughter Greta in Stockholm, Sweden. I miss her already. ??,” he wrote alongside a photo of the two.
Greta frequently shows off her creative side on social media. She is an aspiring model and photographer and posts plenty of artistic shots on her photography Instagram.
Although it wasn't an easy transition at first, Krokdal, who works as a personal trainer, bonded with Dolph's daughters through the gym. “It’s been great getting to know Greta,” she told Muscle and Health in 2020. “Dolph has been taking us through some boxing sessions. We get along great! She’s super sweet and easy to get along with.”
In 2022, Dolph brought his girlfriend and daughters along to the premiere of Minions: Rise of Gru, in which he voiced the villain Svengeance. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was Krokdal’s first red carpet event with Lundgren, and they marked the occasion with color-coordinated outfits.
“Yellow squad to see the Minions??,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo with Ida and Greta.
The Aquaman star and Greta have also introduced Krokdal to the world of acting. In May 2022, Dolph began shooting Wanted Man, in which he starred as well as wrote and directed. Krokdal was also featured in the film, and Greta helped with the production.
On Instagram, Greta shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos, including one where she helped her dad in the makeup chair. In the caption, she wrote, “That’s a wrap on wanted man!!!!!! So lucky to have worked & met all of you amazing people??.”
