Don Cheadle Reacts to Robert Downey Jr. Returning to MCU
Gwyneth Paltrow was confused by Robert Downey Jr's return to the MCU, but it appears she's not the only one, as Don Cheadle has weighed in from a new interview with Collider where he revealed his reaction to heading the news.
Promoting his new movie, Unstoppable, which tells the story of wrestler Anthony Robles, Cheadle spoke with Collider, who snuck in a sneaky question about RDJ's Victor von Doom casting.
"Has anyone told you to save any dates next year for some Secret Wars?" Collider asked, which prompted Cheadle to whip out the usual "I'm not sure what you're talking about."
Collider didn't let up the inquisition, however, pressing Cheadle for more info, to which he responded, "You know I can't talk about that stuff."
Switching tactics, Collider asked, "When did you find out about Robert coming back, and what was your reaction for him playing Doom?"
Cheadle did answer that one, saying, "I was like, 'What the f**k?' I think that's exactly what I said. Everything is clay right now. They're rewriting, they're reworking, and so I honestly can't even tease anything because I don't know if anything's going to happen."
The Academy Award nominee has starred in multiple Marvel projects as War Machine/James Rhodes and is set to appear as him again in Armor Wars, as per IMDb.
However, his involvement in any other upcoming Marvel projects is yet to be revealed.
