Donna Kelce, or as she's affectionately known by her sons and their fans, Mama Kelce, raised her kids to become two of the biggest names in football. But parenting them was no easy feat.

The mother of two, who helps the boys keep a level head by pointing out how they were just like anybody else growing up—calling back to "how many broken windows there were" and "how many times I had a call from the neighbor"—considers being a mother to be "the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. "It’s so much easier to just go to work," she explained to the publication, looking back on her former career as a commercial banker, where she said she worked "really, really hard" and served as "a major breadwinner" for her family.

"...But raising children, when they’re totally dependent on you and you’re trying to do the best you can with the limited resources that you have, it’s the most daunting task I’ve ever had to do," she said.

Now, she gets to enjoy watching her eldest son be a parent himself, which is so much "fun" for her.

"It’s just very heartwarming to know that they have that within them to be very nurturing, very kind, very gentle—especially with girls," she said, referring to Jason's three daughters: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 19 months.
