Door County's Alpine Resort announces the schedule for its 'Concerts in the Tent' series

EGG HARBOR - Alpine Resort brings a range of rock, blues, country, jazz and more by local and regional bands to the recently announced 2024 Concerts in the Tent summer concert series.

The 18 concerts in this year's series are held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, along with select holiday weekends, from June 19 to Sept. 25 under the Alpine's 4,000-square-foot tent in view of the bay of Green Bay waterfront. With the tent, concerts are held rain or shine. There is no charge to attend. Food and beverages will be available for purchase in the tent and at the resort's Burton’s on the Bay restaurant. Coolers, carry-in food or beverages and pets are not allowed, but concertgoers can bring their own lawn chairs for seating.

The concert schedule (subject to change) is:

  • June 19: Biscuit Creek, performing a blend of traditional and progressive bluegrass.

  • June 26: Modern Day Drifters, long-popular Door County band playing country hits and favorites.

  • July 5: Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns, the county's iconic blues/soul/R&B band.

  • July 6: Panchromatic Steel, a Madison band taking traditional Caribbean steel drums into different genres.

  • July 10: The Cougars, with three female vocalists bringing a variety of pop and rock covers.

  • July 17: Kate Voss and The Hot Sauce, who will offer danceable covers and standards from the 1950s and '60s.

  • July 24: Johnny Wad, one of Wisconsin's best-known classic rock cover bands.

  • July 31: Stephen Cooper and The Nobody Famous, serving up rockin' soul and R&B, with a full horn section.

  • Aug. 7: STEEM, a classic pop/rock/jazz and more band from the Fox Valley.

  • Aug. 14: Pop-rock singer-songwriter and producer Todd Carey, who has performed on stage with Fall Out Boy, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Train.

  • Aug. 21: Copper Box, providing accordion-driven "swamp rock."

  • Aug. 28: Carbon Road, who performs country, rock and pop covers.

  • Aug. 30: Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns return with their blues, soul and R&B.

  • Aug. 31: FBI and The Untouchable Horns brings funk and classic rock.

  • Sept. 4: The String Benders, featuring Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall of Fame member Dave Steffen, will provide classic pop-rock and originals.

  • Sept. 11: Bay City Swing, showcasing the music of the big bands.

  • Sept. 18: Bacchus Lotus, a longtime Door County band, plays classic rock and originals.

  • Sept. 25: Cathy Grier and The Troublemakers closes the season with blues-rock.
