'Double Dare' is back and slimier than ever
The TV show reboot wheel cranked out yet another favorite from the past Monday, when Double Dare returned to Nickelodeon. The show is now hosted by YouTube star Liza Koshy, but original host Marc Summers is still around. He’s mainly there to announce the many prizes that are given away throughout an episode, but he doesn’t shy away from sprinkling in a few, as Koshy put it, “dad jokes.”
The show’s famous obstacle course is back as well, with some new obstacles mixed in with the classics. Stations like The Wringer, Brick Wall Breakout, Down the Hatch, and Pick It are sure to bring back memories.
Unfortunately, the kids of today don’t seem to have what it takes to make it to the end, so we didn’t get to see anyone climb Mount St. Double Dare or dig through the Blue Plate Special — this week opting for giant pizza over giant pancakes.
Between the nostalgia sparked for parents and the fact that kids of any generation can’t resist picking a giant nose, this show is definitely fun for the whole family.
Double Dare airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon.
