Although many fans wished Deon a happy Father's Day, plenty of others reacted to their divorce news in the comments. One wrote, "This is weird since you’re divorced now."
Another Instagram user commented, "Congrats to you both for an amicable divorce, keeping the kids at center and living in your truth! It doesn’t matter when it happens. It matters that it happens. We don’t want either one of you living a lie for TV, for the kids, or to turn into a charade of a marriage. To happiness! ??."
Yet another follower shared, "Karen it really is sad to hear about the divorce. Praying for you and your family. Sending prayers and love your way today. ????????."
On June 15, Deon and Karen confirmed the news of their divorce and shared custody of their 13 minor children in a statement to Parade via TLC.
“Together, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children—their well-being is our priority," they shared. "We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.”
