Dover's Phish Mondegreen Festival taps Questlove & others for big event
While Phish is set to headline four nights at their new Mondegreen Festival, the jam band is not the only big name coming to groove with 45,000 fans at The Woodlands of Dover Motor Speedway this weekend.
Each night after Phish plays their set (which starts daily at 6:30 p.m.), a variety of DJs will rock the band's Mondegreen after-party at The Heliograph. One of those DJs is the acclaimed drummer and producer Questlove.
Mondegreen is held Thursday, Aug. 15 to Sunday, Aug. 18. Here's a preview of all the confirmed acts coming to perform DJ sets at The Heliograph.
Who is Flying Mojito Bros at Phish Mondegreen Festival?
The desert disco duo Flying Mojito Bros are no strangers to playing after-party events for Phish or Pretty Lights, a Firefly Music Festival alum who led a dance party in The Woodlands.
Flying Mojito Bros are DJs known for whipping up their brand of Americana/dance music production-style that deliver "cosmic country funk and classic rock hits to modern dancefloors via NYC disco and baggy acid house," per the duo's bio.
Flying Mojito will kick off The Heliograph, playing two nights on Thursday, Aug. 15 and Friday, Aug. 16.

Who is Made of Oak at Phish Mondegreen Festival?
Nick Sanborn gigged in The Woodlands at Firefly when he and his wife, Amelia Meath, performed on stage as the alternative/indie duo Sylvan Esso. Almost a decade later, Sanborn is coming back but as a DJ for his project named Made of Oak. And what better place should Oak be than in The Woodlands?
Made of Oak will play at DJ set at The Heliograph on Saturday, Aug. 20.
Who is Questlove at Phish Mondegreen Festival?
The most famous of the Mondegreen DJs is none other than Questlove (Ahmir Thompson), a legendary drummer and producer. Questlove is the drummer for hip-hop band The Roots, a group based in Philly that won three Grammy Awards.
The Roots and Questlove serve as the house band on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." Questlove is the show's musical director. He won an Oscar for his 2021 documentary "Summer of Soul ( ...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised."
Philly native Questlove will close out the final night of The Heliograph on Sunday, Aug. 18.

When does Phish play Mondegreen Festival in Dover?
The festival opens at noon on Thursday, Aug. 15. The concert venue opens 90 minutes before the first scheduled set time each day. At the moment, this means the concert venue opens at 5 p.m. (as Phish plays each night at 6:30 p.m.) from Thursday, Aug.15, to Sunday, Aug. 18. DJ sets in The Heliograph will begin each night after Phish's set.
Who is Phish?
Formed in Vermont in 1983, Phish is a jam band with a huge and die-hard fan base who love to follow the band on tour, including performances outside of the country.
Phish is named after co-founder and drummer Jon Fishman. The group comprises Trey Anastasio (vocalist/guitar), Mike Gordon (bass), Page McConnell (keyboard) and Fishman (drums).
The jam band played its first Madison Square Garden concert in 1994 and has played annual multi-day shows at MSG, usually around New Year's Eve. Phish's latest MSG show was New Year's Eve 2023, which marked the band's 83rd concert at the legendary venue.
Are tickets still available for Phish Mondegreen Festival?
Yes, tickets are still available. Mondegreen's general admission tickets starts at $150 per day; $450 covers access for all four days. If you're bringing a vehicle, you also must buy a camping or parking vehicle pass (one per car or RV). Single-day parking passes start at $20.
