As the news of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest and the details surrounding it continue to marinate, more and more celebrities are sharing their reactions. Social media users have began resurfacing old videos, photos, and interviews from Diddy’s past, attempting to link other famous figures to his troubling ways. Drake seemingly attempted to distance himself from the Bad Boy Records founder in a new series of Instagram stories posted on Monday (Sept. 23).

The Toronto rapper shared a plethora of different movie references on his “finsta,” and one in particular caught the attention of his fans. The screenshot he uploaded was taken from the 2015 film The Big Short, particularly a scene where Ryan Gosling’s character says, “I never hung our with these idiots after work, ever.”

The next slide reads, “I had fashion friends.”

Fans think this is Drizzy’s way of saying he didn’t stick around for Diddy’s infamous parties in the 2000s, where he allegedly had his events turn into an environments for intense — and often violent — sexual activities after a certain time. Although the two Hip-Hop veterans have been photographed together at several industry events throughout the years, they never officially released a collaboration together.

On Sept. 17, Diddy’s official 14-page indictment was unsealed after his arrest and the explicit details of the decades-long investigation were shared. The mogul is being charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. Disturbing details from the court documents revealed Diddy used his companies to fund and facilitate “Freak Offs,” where he’d allegedly drug his victims and put them in sexually abusive situations.

In addition to Drake, other people who have shared their thoughts on the entire ordeal include names like Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, Charlamagne Tha God, Boosie Badazz, and more. Soulja tweeted he would have “killed” Diddy if he tried him like “any of these gay rappers,” while Fif made fun of the 1,000 bottles of lubricant seized during a raid of Diddy’s home.
