Drew Has Big Plans To Change Port Charles On General Hospital
Drew has been slowly revealing his big plans for Port Charles over the last few weeks on General Hospital, and it all started to make sense on the May 7, 2024 episode.
Esplanades, Wellness, And A New Tomorrow
Drew (Cameron Mathison, who is joining fellow soap stars for Daytime Stands Up) has a vision for his city, starting with Aurora buying fitness centers in order to profit from people’s interest in wellness. He’s also spearheading plans to utilize the unused docks by turning them into esplanades to attract more tourists.
If that wasn’t enough, Drew has also been working PR for the New Tomorrow Institute, a nonprofit that helps people find bone marrow donors and is in need of a spokesperson.
The Dream Team
While Drew has been the man with the plan, he hasn’t tried to do it all alone, starting with Curtis (Donnell Turner), who he enlisted to help with the fitness centers. With wellness being a major part of his life and recently regaining his ability to walk, Curtis is the perfect person to help with this new endeavor.
As for the esplanades, Drew asked Nina (Cynthia Watros) to get him a meeting with a congressman she knows, and after a little persuading, convinced him to help with the project, given Drew names an esplanade after him and allows his wife to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.
As for the New Tomorrow Institute, after some deliberating, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) has finally agreed to become the spokesperson, knowing firsthand what it’s like to need a bone marrow donor.
Jordan (Tanisha Harper) has also been a motivator in Drew’s plans, and with Sonny (Maurice Benard) determined to make a donation to the city recently, the possibilities are endless for the future of Port Charles.
