Duggar Sisters on Going on With Their Lives in TLC 3-Part Series

Superfan

TLC aired Jill & Jessa: Counting On Sunday night, the first of a three-part special that focuses on the two Duggar sisters who were victims of sexual abuse at the hands of older brother Josh. The episode uncovered how they’re getting on with their personal lives despite their seemingly constant exposure on the cover of magazines. Of the aftermath of the not one but two scandals, Jill said, “If anything, our family’s faith has been strengthened.”

But strengthened faith was not enough to ward off the obvious pain felt by not just Jill and Jessa, but also Jana, Joy, John-David, Joseph, and Josiah, the siblings on the older end of the Duggar clan, who were also interviewed for this special. Not much new information, really, was revealed about the scandals, but each sibling struggled to find the words to voice how difficult a time this has been for their family. They called the news “shocking” and “the hardest thing they have ever gone through.” John-David said that it had left them all a little bit somber. In previews for the second of the three-part series, it was revealed that Josh’s wife Anna will break her silence and be interviewed for the special.
