Dwayne Johnson Happy That His 2020 Presidential Candidacy Poll Numbers Are Higher Than Trump’s
Baywatch star Dwayne Johnson slow-mo walked onto The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and addressed the quickly forming speculation that he might be running for president in 2020.
In a recent GQ article, Johnson was asked about the rumors that he might run, and he said, “I think that it’s a real possibility.”
Johnson told Jimmy Fallon, “You know, a lot of people want to see a different leadership today — I’m sorry, not different but better leadership today, right?”
He went on to say that a recent poll by Public Policy Polling “brought together Republicans and Democrats saying that I would beat Donald Trump if we had an election today.”
Is there a real chance of Dwayne Johnson running for president in 2020? It all depends on how one interprets his very political statement, “Three and a half years is a long ways away. So, we’ll see.”
