Dylan Dreyer is on-site and ready to go for this year's Kentucky Derby.
The Today meteorologist understood the assignment as she joined NBC's Sunday Night Football's NFL play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico at Churchill Downs—the annual horse race's traditional venue, located in south Louisville, Kentucky.
It's one of the year's most highly anticipated fashion events, with women turning out in their best spring dresses and matching fascinators—aka, fancy hats—and Dreyer knew just what to wear as the two sipped on Mint Juleps ahead of the 2024 kickoff.
In a photo uploaded to the morning broadcast's official Instagram account on Friday, May 3, Dreyer wore a belted black dress with a floral design boasting bright pink, yellow, and green accent colors. Atop her stylish blonde bob, she wore a hot pink, disc-shaped derby hat lined with a navy blue ribbon. In the center sat a moldable pink bow, which was bent up and out to give her even more height.
Meanwhile, Tirico wore a deep blue sports coat over a white and blue checkered button-up.
Viewers thought she looked perfect for the occasion, with one writing, "Dylan [sic] dress is beautiful."
"You look amazing ?? ??," another complimented.
Dreyer, assumedly, left her children at home for the work trip, though her eldest son, Calvin, recently got to enjoy a day at work with her, and the duo was all smiles in selfie-style photos showing the two leaning their heads together in the correspondent's dressing room, which was chock full of more fashionable outfits.
