Dylan Scott to headline Mahomet Music Festival
Mar. 21—MAHOMET — A multi-platinum Academy of Country Music award nominee is coming to Mahomet in August.
The 2024 Mahomet Music Festival is set for Aug. 23-24, with Dylan Scott headlining the "Darwyn Boston — State Farm Agent" Main Stage on Aug. 24.
The festival will take place along Main Street in downtown Mahomet.
Entry to the concerts is free thanks to sponsors.
The presenting sponsor is Fisher National Bank.
Organizers described Scott, who was nominated for ACM New Male Artist of the Year in 2023, as "a powerful vocalist with a deep, unmistakable drawl, an old-soul songwriter with a young spirit."
His songs include four No. 1 singles on the radio ("My Girl," "Nobody," "New Truck" and "Can't Have Mine"), as well as Top 5 hit "Hooked."
Drew Baldridge, who has gotten over 350 million streams worldwide and over 300 million plays on TikTok with his hit "She's Somebody's Daughter," will open for Scott.
Rearview, a Tribute to Pearl Jam, will take the main stage on Aug. 23. Jake & Mikayla, a "high-energy" act featuring multiple genres of country music, will open for Rearview.
Local artist Lexi will open the stage Friday night.
The Christian Headliner on Aug. 24 is Cochren & Company, a 2023 Dove Award Nominee for new artist of the year with four Top 10 hits since 2021.
