'Dynasty' Star Joan Collins Compares Her Infamous Fight Scene With Linda Evans To Chris Rock Oscars Slap
Several celebrities have had a thing or two to say about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards ever since the infamous encounter took place back in March.
During a recent appearance on Daily Blast Live, Dynasty star Dame Joan Collins brought up the incident while discussing her infamous pond fight scene as Alexis Colby with Linda Evans' Krystle Carrington on the hit 80s soap opera.
According to Joan Collins, squabbling with Evans in the pond was nowhere near as unfortunate as the slap Smith gave Rock during this year's Oscars.
“That was not a [stunt] double that fell into the washer. That was me. In fact, I think it’s me most of the time because when I fell into the water I had a big hat on and the hat flew off, which is slightly iconic. And that is the worst dress I ever wore on Dynasty, it is just hideous, I think,” Collins explained. “And we had to have like six of them because we did so many takes in the water. I think we only did the one fall into the water… Now, Linda, I want you to hit and and then I’m going to say three, but she didn’t freeze. Luckily it wasn’t too bad. But it wasn’t exactly Chris. It wasn’t the one that Chris Rock received.”
Joan Collins dished on her current relationship with Linda Evans as well
“Well, Linda lives in the middle of America and I live either in Hollywood or London. Those places are very far apart from that, but you know, I don’t understand why you think that people who work together in a film or movie should be great pals because very few people are,” the actress shared. “I am great pals with Stephanie Beacham and great great pals with the three boys, Gordon Thomson, Jack Coleman and John James. We all got together last month and I went to see their show.”
