E! Unveils ‘House of Villains’ Season 2 Trailer, Sets Two-Night October Premiere – (TV News Roundup)

E! has released the trailer for Season 2 of “House of Villains,” the Joel McHale-hosted reality show that sees 10 of reality TV’s most infamous “villains” come together to outsmart and out-manipulate each other in a series of challenges to win a cash prize, and the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain.”

The show has been slated for a two-night premiere, with the first episode to be broadcast live on E!, Bravo, SYFY and USA on Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and the second on the same time on Oct. 10. Following the premiere, the series will air in its regular Thursday timeslot at 10 p.m. ET/PT on E! and will be available to stream on Peacock.

The trailer features the season’s malicious cast, all reunited at the iconic lair (mansion) from Season 1, with “RuPaul’s Drag Race’s” Kandy Muse iconically declaring, “You are going to come into the house of villains? This is my motherfucking house!”

Season 2 “villains” include Wes Bergmann (“The Challenge,”) Teresa Giudice (“The Real Housewives of New Jersey,”) Jessie Godderz (“Big Brother,”) Richard Hatch (“Survivor,”) Victoria Larson (“The Bachelor,”) Larissa Lima (“90 Day Fiancé,”), Kandy Muse (“RuPaul’s Drag Race,”) Camilla Poindexter (“Bad Girls Club,”) Tiffany “New York” Pollard (“Flavor of Love”) and Safaree (“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Surprise guests include Janice Dickinson, Tori Spelling and former villains Bobby Lytes and Jax Taylor.

Season 1 averaged 861,000 total viewers and 384,000 in the 18-49 demo across all platforms through 35 days, making it the network’s most-watched new series since 2020.

FIRST LOOKS/TRAILERS

Netflix has just released the first images for Season 3 of “The Lincoln Lawyer,” which will premiere on the streamer on Oct. 17.

“Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the third season is based on the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Gods of Guilt,” reads the series’ logline.

The series also stars Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Yaya DaCosta. Neve Campbell, Merrin Dungey, Elliott Gould, Devon Graye, Michael Irby, Maisie Klompus, Allyn Moriyon, Wolé Parks, John Pirruccello, Fiona Rene, Philip Anthony-Rodriguez, Jon Tenney and Krista Warner are all slated to guest and recur in the series.

The series was created for television by David E Kelley and was developed for television by Ted Humphrey, who serves as co-showrunner alongside Dailyn Rodriguez. Connelly is an executive producer and writer on the series. Ross Fineman and Kelley are also executive producers. A+E Studios produces the series, and Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson are executive producers.

Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer for its Spanish-language medical drama “Midnight Family,” which will premiere on the streamer on Sept. 25.

“Inspired by the award-winning documentary of the same name, ‘Midnight Family’ follows Marigaby Tamayo, an ambitious and gifted medical student by day, who spends her nights saving lives throughout a sprawling, contrasted and fascinating Mexico City aboard her family’s privately owned ambulance. Along with her father Ramón and her siblings Marcus and Julito Marigaby serves a population of millions by tackling extreme medical emergencies to make a living,” reads the series’ logline.

The show features an entirely Hispanic cast and crew led by Ariel Award winner Joaquín Cosío (“Narcos: Mexico,”) Renata Vaca (“Dale Gas,”) Diego Calva (“Babylon”) and introduces Sergio Bautista, with the special participation of Goya Award winner óscar Jaenada (“Hernán”) and with José María de Tavira (“The Candidate,”) Itzan Escamilla (“élite,”) Mariana Gómez (“The Queen of Flow,”) Dolores Heredia (“Capadocia”) and special guest Oscar nominee Yalitza Aparicio (“Roma.”)

The hour-long series will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with two episodes on Sept. 25, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through Nov. 20.
