Ebon Moss-Bachrach Teases What Could Happen in The Bear Season 4
Ebon Moss-Bachrach has commented on what could happen in The Bear season 4.
The Emmy winner, who plays restaurant owner Richie in FX’s fiery kitchen drama, spoke to Men’s Journal about the as-yet unfinished next season.
“I feel like The Bear is always pretty clear about picking up where it left off. So I'm trying to think what the last shot of season 3 is. We see Carmy underneath the L train, getting a text, getting a review that he seems to have mixed feelings about. I imagine that maybe perhaps they go back in the restaurant the next day and try to sort that review out.”
Moss-Bachrach also floated the idea of a The Bear spinoff starring Oliver Platt’s Cicero. “I'm really interested in what Cicero has going on. I'm curious about his sources of income, the pots that he's got his hands in. He seems like a very mysterious figure to me. I'd like to peel back his life a little bit.”
However, the actor also admits “I don't think it would be very fun,” and “there's probably like a zero to one percent chance of that happening.”
Moss-Bachrach is starring as The Thing in Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is currently shooting ahead of its release date on 25 July, 2025. And the Fantastic Four actor has revealed how he's preparing to play The Thing.
With that film heavily embargoed, however, the actor brought up another project he’s excited about: Hold Your Breath. “It’s kind of Polanski-esque environmental Dust Bowl Oklahoma thriller with Sarah Paulson. I'm really excited about it. I'm really excited for people to see it. I think that's a really cool, beautiful, visually striking and terrifying movie.”
A known foodie, much more so than his on-screen character in The Bear, Moss-Bachrach recently partnered with Johnnie Walker, the official spirits partner of the 76th Emmy? Awards. He joins forces with The Bear’s culinary producer Courtney Storer and mixologist Charles Joly to invent three bespoke Blue Label cocktail and food pairings.
So, what’s his favourite? Easy: the caramelized onion burger paired with the Elegance In Motion cocktail. “There's a Chicago 75 old fashioned sort of combo which I think is kind of different and kind of sparkly in a way. For the burger, the one with a lot of caramelized onions.”
You can try these for yourself soon and see if Moss-Bachrach’s Johnnie Walker Blue Label cocktails and pairings are any good by exploring the upcoming Blue List – a curated selection of bars and restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Chicago.
