Ed Kelce Posts Bold Response to Kanye West Name-Dropping Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift on New Album
Ed Kelce had a strong response upon discovering that Kanye West — AKA Ye — had name-dropped Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift on Vultures 2.
The Kelce family patriarch took to his personal Facebook account several days after the album dropped, sharing an article from the Daily Mail detailing the "not-so-subtle" reference to his son's relationship, which involves West's collaborator, Lil Wayne, rapping, "I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce" on their new track "Lifestyle (Demo)."
It's an indirectly direct reference to Swift, as Taylor spliff appears to be a variety of weed vape cartridges, but, given their tumultuous history with one another, it's safe to assume West was still hoping to get under her skin with the nod, and Ed seemed to agree when he declared the move to be "Mental illness on full display." (West's battle with bipolar disorder is well-known and often brought up during his more controversial statements and actions.)
It's not the first time Ed has proven to be a protective parental figure, also taking to the social media platform after an alleged stalker was arrested in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, for reportedly threatening the pop star and her boyfriend.
Papa Kelce wrote, "Love to know who this some-b---h is," as he shared a news article about the incident at the time.
Fans online have appreciated Ed's blunt and direct response in moments like this, calling it "ICONIC behavior!!!!"
Others have declared that "we all NEED AN Ed Kelce in our lives!!!"
Swift hasn't responded to Kanye's reference as she's in the midst of her popular Eras Tour, recently canceling all three of her shows in Vienna, Austria following terrorist threats.
