Ed Westwick is going to become a father. The actor, who rose to fame playing Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl, and his wife, Amy Jackson, shared that they are expecting their first child through a pregnancy announcement on Instagram.

Westwick and Jackson revealed that their bundle of joy is on the way through a classic pregnancy photo shoot. The carousel of images, shared via a joint post, featured the married couple frolicking in an open field with Jackson's bump on display. The couple embraced, shared stolen glances, and smiles in the sweet photos, with Westwick often touching Jackson's belly.

Westwick and Jackson's baby news comes just over two months after the couple tied the knot in Italy on August 24 of this year. The news also comes nearly 12 years after Chuck Bass became a father in the final episode of Gossip Girl. His on-screen stepmother, Kelly Rutherford, reacted to the news in the comments section with two heart emoji.

Following their August wedding, the couple expressed a desire to start a family.

"For me, [marrying Westwick] means having a life partner to adventure with, to share love and support, to create a beautiful family and to have each other's backs throughout all of life's moments," Jackson told People. "It's about building a future together and creating endless memories, knowing that we are a team through it all."

"This all represents a new level of energy for a new adventure—the best one you can possibly have," Westwick added. "I spent my life wondering who she would be, and then I found her."
