Elizabeth Gillies Discovers Unexpected Furry Friend In Her Piano
Elizabeth Gillies, best known for her role on Nickelodeon's "Victorious," recently had quite a surprising encounter when she opened her piano to find an unexpected furry guest.
The 31-year-old New Jersey native has long had a passion for music, even teaming up with Seth MacFarlane last year to release a holiday hit.
On Tuesday, when Elizabeth Gillies went to sit at her piano, she was taken aback to find a furry animal scurrying around.
Liz Gillies Talks Music Career
When speaking to CBS News, Liz said that being a musician is "so important to me."
"Seth and I started singing together over a decade ago, believe it or not," she said, reflecting on her relationship with the "Family Guy" creator. The two not only went on tour together, but also recorded a holiday song.
Liz has a piano at home where she regularly works on her music, but when she went to play it recently, she discovered an unexpected surprise.
What Did Liz Gillies Find In Her Piano?
In an Instagram update posted on Tuesday, the former Nickelodeon star gave fans a glimpse of an unexpected guest: a tiny squirrel lounging on the edge of her piano. The little furball didn’t seem fazed by the spotlight, showing off its long, bushy tail and beady eyes.
Naturally, fans were buzzing with questions after seeing the adorable snap. “You kept him, didn’t you?” one follower asked. Another wanted to know, “Did your husband approve of your new pet?”
A third referenced the latest viral trend, writing, "All very demure, very mindful, and very classy."
It's unclear if Liz kept the little guy, but hopefully, she will share an update with fans soon.
Liz Gillies Rewatches 'Victorious' After 'Quiet On Set' Docuseries
The documentary "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV," released earlier this year, has revealed the "dark side" of children's television, with many former child stars opening up about their experiences working on popular Nickelodeon shows.
While Liz wasn't part of the project, she did speak out after the docuseries made headlines. "I certainly reevaluated my experience with Ariana [Grande] over FaceTime," she told Variety. "We watched it together, and then we got together later that week or the next week, and we sort of broke the whole thing down and talked about it, and reprocessed everything together."
"There was a lot to go through," she added.
As many 90s and 2000s kids know, Liz starred in "Victorious" alongside Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice, both of whom also spoke out after the docuseries were released.
Liz Gillies Reflects On Her Nickelodeon Days
The "Dynasty" star continued, “It’s tricky when you look back on something incredibly positively, and then you learn a lot of information and also revisit things as an adult through a new lens that reframe the memories in your mind a little bit, or cloud them, or taint them — maybe rightfully so."
"I’m very lucky I have such a close relationship with my cast — and with Ari — and that we were all able to do that together, because we definitely leaned on each other, talked amongst each other and checked in with each other," the actress shared.
Ariana Grande has also addressed the documentary, sharing her thoughts on the project and whether she has experienced anything similar.
"Obviously, my relationship to it has, and is currently, changing, and I'm reprocessing a lot of what the experience was like," she said on Penn Badgley's "Podcrushed" podcast. "I think that the environment needs to be made safer if kids are going to be acting. I think there should be therapists. I think [parents should be] allowed to be wherever they want to be."
Victoria Justice Speaks Out About 'Quiet On Set'
In addition to both Liz and Ariana, Victoria Justice also addressed the bombshell accusations made in the MAX docuseries, telling Marie Claire that "Quiet On Set" did accurately portray Dan Schneider’s “very large ego,” which sometimes “clouded his better judgment and affected the way he treated people.”
Dan Schneider was accused of sexualizing minors and creating a toxic work environment. He has since sued the production company, claiming it falsely portrayed him as a sexual predator.
