Ella Purnell has been on a roll over the past year. After her breakout in Yellowjackets, the actress voiced a character in an episode of the superhero show Invincible and made her debut as Lucy MacLean in the live-action adaptation of the post-apocalyptic game Fallout.
Purnell now stars as Rhiannon Davis in Sweetpea, a forthcoming dark comedy series from Sky Atlantic. The “coming of rage” show is based on the book of the same name by CJ Skuse, adapted for the screen by Kirstie Swain.
Davis seemingly lives an ordinary life working as an office manager but quietly harbors rage against those who have wronged her over the years. A chance encounter with a stranger leads to her embarking on a frantic killing spree.
