Elmo crashes ‘Game of Thrones’ in adorable ‘Sesame Street’ mashup
Yet another odd sounding character with an agenda has arrived in King’s Landing, and he goes by the name Elmo of Sesame Street. His agenda: bringing peace to the Seven Kingdoms.
As part of a new #RespectBringsUsTogether campaign, the new crossover video was posted to Sesame Street’s YouTube page. In the clip, the longtime favorite character crashes a meeting between Game Of Thrones characters Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, played by actors Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage. The TV siblings have been at odds on the show, and it seems Elmo was there to help.
“Elmo thinks that you two need to respect each other. When Elmo has a problem with his friends, like Abby or Cookie Monster, Elmo doesn’t get upset, Elmo listens and learns from what they have to say,” Elmo said.
And while Tyrion was quick to adapt Elmo’s philosophy of learning and listening, it took Cersei a little more time before hesitantly agreeing that she “can try.” Which, of course, called for a toast.
“Oh yummy, Elmo loves toast!” Elmo responded.
Viewers on Twitter were quick respond to the crossover from the pair of HBO shows, heaping plenty of praise and having a little fun with the idea.

The #RespectBringsUsTogether campaign also features Cookie Monster on the set of HBO’s Westworld. And this isn’t the first time Sesame Street has mixed worlds with Game Of Thrones, as the hit children’s show parodied the HBO drama back in 2015.
Game Of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. and Sesame Street airs Sundays at 7 a.m. on HBO.
