From Elvis to aircraft, there's plenty of Delaware fun this weekend, rain or no rain

Welcome to the weekend, Small Wonder.

We are here to maximize your enjoyment.

There's a chance of thunderstorms today and a high of at least 89 predicted, so plan accordingly. Sunday's Wilmington area forecast is a 90% chance of rain so it's a great day to get stuff done around the house, settle in with a good book or puzzle, or make some snacks and binge some Wes Anderson movies.

If you are headed to the beach today, you will find our Weekend Beach Guide here.

In the mood for a farmers market to power up your weekend menu? We’ve got you. Stock up, chow down.

Or you can pour more coffee and do our News Quiz, as you'll see below.

Here are some more fun things to do this weekend if you are venturing out. A lot of them have air conditioning.

Aircraft Museum flies under radar in Dover

One of Delaware's best hidden gems is tucked away in Dover, and it's free to the public. The Air Mobility Command Museum is unique because it's one of the most visited attractions in Delaware, yet many locals haven't been there. The museum displays over 30 aircraft and has exhibits offering the history of interesting people, aircraft and air refueling. There's also a cool flight simulator.

Air Mobility Command Museum (1301 Heritage Road, Dover Air Force Base) is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Free admission. Visit mcmuseum.org or call (302) 677-5938.

Elvis impersonator Jesse Garron is one of 12 tribute acts lined up for Bethany Beach’s summer concert series.

Jesse Garron is part of a large fraternity of Elvis Presley tribute artists. But one thing that makes him unique is his stage name. The performer uses Jesse Garron as his alias, in honor of Elvis’ twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley, who died at birth, according to the tribute artist's bio. He's paid homage to the rock ‘n’ roll legend since 1997.

Rehoboth Beach Bandstand (Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach) from 8 to 9:15 p.m. Saturday, July 8. Visit rehobothbandstand.com or call (302) 644-2288.

The soulful singer, who is a guest mentor on "American Idol" Season 21, is best known for his song "Consider Me." Allen Stone's concert will feature special guest Brothers Elsey.

Free trip at Delaware Art Museum

There's always something fun to see and do at Delaware Art Museum. It's especially cool on Sundays during the summer, and on Thursdays in the evening, because the museum offers free admission at those times. That's still the case at the moment, so what are you waiting for?!

Delaware Art Museum (2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, and from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Free admission. Visit delart.org or call (302) 571-9590.
