Emerging Oklahoma country star Zach Bryan wins four Billboard Music Awards trophies
Rising Oklahoma country music star Zach Bryan won four trophies, including Top New Artist, Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards.
The prolific singer, songwriter, and producer, who hails from Oologah, also received the award for Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Song for his breakout ballad “Something in the Orange” and Top Rock Album for his platinum-certified Warner Records debut album "American Heartbreak."
Fellow country star Morgan Wallen was the top winner of the night with 11 wins during the annual awards show, which took place at Truist Park in Atlanta.
Taylor Swift won 10 awards and Drake earned five to put them in a tie for the winningest artists of all time at the Billboard Music Awards.
Zach Bryan takes Billboard Music Awards wins into 2024 Grammys
Bryan, 27, will take his four Billboard Music Award wins into the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, set for Feb. 4 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
After garnering his first Grammy nod last year, Bryan is nominated for three 2024 Grammys: He shares two 2024 nominations with six-time Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves: They are nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their smash single "I Remember Everything."
The hitmaker also nabbed a nomination for Best Country Album for this year's acclaimed chart-topping collection "Zach Bryan.” His self-titled album has occupied a spot in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 for 11 consecutive weeks and counting.
When will Zach Bryan next be performing in Oklahoma?
Also in 2024, Bryan will bring his "The Quittin Time Tour" to the Sooner State for five concerts: The emerging superstar will make his debut at Oklahoma City's Paycom Center with back-to-back shows May 17-18.
He also will return to the Tulsa area for three concerts Dec. 12-14 when he returns to the BOK Center.
Along with his fourth full-length studio album, "Zach Bryan," his 2024 tour will support his surprise Sept. 22 EP "Boys of Faith," which boasts appearances from Bon Iver and Noah Kahan.
