Emily Blunt was the belle of the ball as she hosted the American Institute for Stuttering 18th annual gala Monday evening in New York City.
The Devil Wears Prada star made an entrance at the grand event alongside husband John Krasinski. He looked sharp in a fitted navy suit, matching navy tie, white shirt, and glossy black dress shoes.
Blunt, meanwhile, looked like a modern version of Snow White in an icy white set with a dramatic red rose print. The ensemble was composed of a bustier top with a cupped bra and a plunging neckline, and an A-line skirt that flowed down to the actor’s ankles. There, a pair of glossy candy apple red peep-toe heels took the spotlight.
The rose print of the dress was broken up by painterly brush strokes of the same bright rouge along the bust, waist, and skirt. Blunt continued the color scheme with her jewelry: ruby drop earrings and a large white diamond ring with dashes of red. She even wore a bright red manicure and had on rosy makeup to match. Her blonde hair was styled in silky waves.
The American Institute for Stuttering (AIS) is a leading nonprofit center that provides services for people, particularly children, who stutter. This includes early intervention, individual stuttering therapy for kids and adults, specialty group workshops, practice and support groups, family guidance, and even clinical training to speech professionals wishing to gain expertise in stuttering.
Blunt, who has previously opened up about how she overcame her stutter as a child, is a longtime supporter of the organization and is currently on their board of directors; she has hosted the gala several times in the past.
