“Emily in Paris”' Lucas Bravo Says the Cast Is 'Manifesting' Kim Cattrall Joining the Show: 'We've Been Talking'
Bravo admitted he's "dreaming" about the prospect of working alongside Cattrall
Paging Samantha Jones — the Emily in Paris cast has a favor to ask of you!
Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel — one-third of the titular character's never-ending love triangle in the Netflix series — has revealed he is eyeing Kim Cattrall for a potential crossover moment between Sex and the City and its 21st-century counterpart, Emily in Paris.
"We've been talking about – earlier – about having Kim Cattrall, manifesting her presence on Emily in Paris," Bravo, 36, told IMDb when asked what show he'd want to do a crossover with.
"But it would imply that there's a substantial role for her to take on, and also [for] her to say yes to that idea. But I've been floating all day and dreaming about that opportunity and I hope it happens."
Bravo was not the only one with New York City's favorite foursome on his mind. His castmates gave similar responses to the question, as Lily Collins (Emily Cooper) said, "I would say the obvious but also genuine answer is gonna be Sex and the City just because naturally I feel like there's a lot of crossover there."
Ashley Park (Mindy Chen) said the same, and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) agreed. "Sex and the City too. I mean, obviously."
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie) echoed her costar's answers. "The obvious is Sex and the City," she said, while Bruno Gouery (Luc) added, "It's obvious, yeah."
In season 4 of Emily in Paris, the group's Sex and the City reminiscent behavior ramps up a notch, as Emily (Collins) is "reeling" following the "dramatic events of Camille (Camille Razat) and Gabriel's misbegotten wedding" in the season 3 finale.
Per the official synopsis, Emily "has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel's expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie's worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed."
Emily and Gabriel are finding that their "chemistry is undeniable" as they continue "working towards a Michelin star" together, "but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they've dreamed of."
Things get complicated for another onscreen couple in season 4, too. Paul Forman, who plays Mindy's love interest Nicolas De Leon, told PEOPLE at the L.A. premiere that their story will be "slightly choppy."
"I think the theme for Nick this year is overcoming obstacles, hurdles in the company's way, trying to balance everything," Forman, 30, said. "So I think that will be reflected in the relationship."
