Emily Ratajkowski Is Ready for Fall in Leather Miu Miu Boots While Walking Around New York City

Emily Ratajkowski made a departure from her usual sneaker style and wore a pair of must-have biker boots while walking around Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday.
Showcasing a boot style indicative of the changing fall weather, the shoes were made with leather and characterized by a buckle design on the side. Doused in a dark brown color, the set was completed by a shorty chunky heel estimated to be in between 2-to-3 inches in height.
The actress paired her boots with a long white flowy skirt, a black long sleeve top that showed off her shoulders and a pair of black sunglasses. A hoodie tied around her skirt was her standout accessory for the outing. The model opted for a pair of Miu Miu Sienna Leather boots for the outing, which are available at Bergdorf Goodman for $2,450.
Leather boots have a distinct history that dates back to their inception in the 17th century when they were created by Thomas Pendleton. Back then, the main purpose of the leather boot was to protect one’s foot while walking, but in the centuries since, they have become used primarily for stylistic purposes, with many brands such as Gucci, Steve Madden, Timberland and more offering many different iterations of the model. Dr. Martens also recently revealed a new biker boot silhouette.
As a result, they have become a popular choice for many celebrities when making their appearances as well. The model previously wore them in July in the middle of summer with a pair of white shorts. In May of this year, actress Anya Taylor-Joy was photographed outside of the New York City studio for “Live with Kelly and Mark” in a pair of edgy thigh-high pointed-toe boots that were constructed in fine patent leather, and featured an angular pointed-toe design on the toe box, a slightly slouchy construction and a stiletto heel that likely ranged between 4 and 5 inches.
In early August, actress Michaela Jaé Rodriguez attended the Los Angeles screening of IFC Films’ “Skincare” at Brain Dead Studios in a pair of leather boots that were also characterized by an angular pointed-toe design on the toe box, splashed in a black colorway and finished with a stiletto heel that likely ranged between 4 and 5 inches based on the actress’ previous appearances in towering shoes.
