Emma Chamberlain and Her Stylist Jared Ellner Attend Uniqlo’s L.A. Omakase Dinner
Uniqlo is investing in the U.S. market.
The global retailer, with headquarters in Japan, is expanding in California with four new locations. The first is coming to Sacramento on Sept. 13, then Los Angeles at Westfield Century City on Sept. 27, followed by Westfield Galleria in Roseville on Oct. 4 and Westfield UTC in San Diego on Oct. 18.

The news was announced by Uniqlo’s head of marketing for North America, Nicolas Cessot, at a dinner party celebrating the brand’s new fall 2024 collection on Tuesday night.
Jared Ellner, the evening’s cohost, was tapped to style the campaign for the line full of natural and earth tones in easy-to-layer, light and loose fits for both men and women.
Ellner brought along his client and muse, Emma Chamberlain, the 23-year-old YouTube star and podcaster. Guests, which also included Ava Michelle, Owen Thiele, Emma Brooks McAllister and Marco Zamora, enjoyed an omakase experience at Kodō in downtown L.A.
Next, Cessot revealed, Uniqlo will open in Dallas and Houston in October.
Uniqlo, known to partner on capsules with designers including Jonathan Anderson, has also been supporting projects in the art world. The brand is currently sponsoring the “Kaws + Warhol” exhibition tour. Open at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh since May through January 2025, the show will travel globally before ending in Tokyo in 2026. In the past, Uniqlo has contributed to initiatives in collaboration with MoMA, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Louvre, the Tate, among others. Uniqlo has also offered free admission programs through its “Art for All” project.
