Emma Corrin can’t escape their legacy as a Miu Miu darling, whether they’re gracing the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, closing out the brand’s Fall 2023 show, or stepping out at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. Their looks are proof, however, that the label’s offerings go beyond pleated miniskirts and preppy sweaters. Just yesterday, the actor brought brat summer to Venice in a neon green set from the brand, and their latest outfit seems to further pack on the grunge.

For a dinner hosted by Miu Miu, Corrin slipped into a transparent long-sleeved minidress. Under direct light, the navy fabric of the garment exposed the actor’s lacy black bra and matching underwear, though a looser fit ensured their look wasn’t overly revealing. A small black Miu Miu logo was stamped onto the chest of the minidress.

Below, they threw on a pair of black military-inspired combat boots, which extended up toward their knees and brought an edge to their ensemble. The lace-up footwear also coordinated with their black Arcadie leather bag, toted by its top handles. A natural makeup look and tousled pixie cut rounded out Corrin’s look.

The Miu Miu ensemble also offered a better look at a different kind of accessory; the actor’s cherub tattoo on their right thigh. Corrin sees the permanent symbol—one of a few scattered across their body—as a way to capture a time in their life. “I like knowing I have something on my body that’s entirely me,” they told Harper’s Bazaar in July. “I started getting tattoos when I started exploring my identity.” For the nonbinary actor, tattoos seem to be a way to reclaim their body, adding a personal touch to even the most branded of outfits.
