Emma Roberts attended the book launch party for Lili Anolik’s biography “Didion & Babitz” in Los Angeles on Nov. 12 wearing a chic layered outfit with a pair of open-toed gray mule heels.
Roberts founded the online reading community/book club Belletrist, which picked “Didion and Babitz” as its November read. For the literary event celebrating the new book, the known bibliophile wore a playfully sophisticated outfit from Mimchik consisting of a sleek gray ankle-length pencil skirt and a matching triangle bralette over a short sleeve top.
Designed with a straight silhouette, the skirt was accented by a slender black belt, which matched the rectangular clutch that Roberts carried.
Selecting a pair of gray mule heels, Roberts aligned her footwear with her apparel. The sandals featured an hourglass-shaped strap across the toes, which allowed a well-coordinated manicure to peek through.
The shoes also included a pointed sole and a skinny heel, offering Roberts an elevated look for the occasion. The matte fabric appeared to have a slight marbled effect.
When it comes to fashion, Roberts often gravitates toward classic neutral colors; she’s shown off several elegant looks in 2024, ranging from a black outfit including a sheer-sleeved minidress and classic black pumps to a white ensemble including a minidress and metal-adorned loafers.
Nicole Richie was another guest at the book launch party, selecting a multi-colored floor-length off-the-shoulder dress for the event. Also present was Elizabeth Olsen, who brought an academic aesthetic in a layered look featuring a white-button down and black jacket; her shoes were black platform boots.
