Emma Roberts Goes Blonde and Gets a Bob, Proves Bleached Hair Is Definitely a Thing This Summer

Simply getting warm highlights for summer is so 2015. This year Taylor Swift‘s edgy new rocker look on her May Vogue cover set off the hottest hue of the season — bleach blonde. Emma Stone went platinum ( for a bit!), Justin Bieber channeled Eminem vibes with his bleached buzz cut and now Emma Roberts is joining the club with super light strands.

The actress was spotted leaving Nine Zero One hair salon last week with a blunt shoulder-grazing bob styled in piecey waves. Plus, she lightened her amber strands with a new blonde color, which hairstylist Nikki Lee is calling “dreamy butter cream.”

The last time Roberts switched up her hair hue was in March ( just in time for Coachella festivities) with a warm brown-blonde shade that she called “desert rose.” And before that, she chopped off Chanel’s long, blonde waves after her hit show Scream Queens wrapped last season. Production is set to start back up in July and will re-locate from New Orleans to California, but time will only tell if Chanel will pile on the extensions again or stick to her alter ego’s shorter look.
