Emmys 2024: TVLine Readers Pick Who Should Win in 15 Key Categories
If TVLine readers have any say in the matter, Shōgun, Hacks and Fargo will be collecting a whole lotta hardware at Sunday’s Primetime Emmys.

Last month, we polled you on the shows and actors you think should win at the Sept. 15 Emmy ceremony, and all three of the aforementioned series were among those to stand out in the poll results. Interestingly, though, that trio — as you can see in the full results below — did not sweep the respective genres for which they’re nominated: HBO’s The Gilded Age, Showtime’s Fellow Travelers, Hulu’s The Bear and Netflix’s Baby Reindeer, to name a few, also pulled out some hypothetical wins.
Some fun facts: The Lead Actress in a Comedy category featured the most decisive victory, with Hacks‘ Jean Smart earning a whopping 43.8% of the vote (and 27 percentage points separating her and the runner-up, Abbott Elementary‘s Quinta Brunson). On the flip side, the narrowest margin came from the Supporting Actor in a Drama race, where The Morning Show‘s Billy Crudup eked out a win over Shōgun‘s Tadanobu Asano by just two percentage points.
Of course, this is all completely theoretical. For the real winners of this year’s Emmys, you’ll have to watch the live ceremony airing Sunday, Sept. 15, at 8/7c on ABC. Father-son duo and former Schitt’s Creek co-stars Eugene and Dan Levy will host.
