Looking for a new show to binge and having trouble cutting through the noise? If you trust industry voters, the Emmy nominations can be a good place to start.
Leading the charge this year is FX’s “Shogun,” which scored a stunning 25 nominations (including limited series) and scored first-time acting nominations for stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai. FX landed 93 noms all together — helped also by the record-breaking 23 nominations (the most in Emmy history) for its comedy series “The Bear.”
If you’re looking for more of a laugh, Max’s “Hacks” and “Curb Your Enthusiam” also received nods, in addition to ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” and Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” which earned Selena Gomez her first Emmy nomination this week.
