Emotional Meghan Trainor fights to be heard on 'The Four'
Meghan Trainor was pretty upset on The Four Thursday when Zhavia, who was the frontrunner on the show, was sent home. After the results were revealed, Meghan started crying, and Sean “Diddy” Combs was not down with her tears. “You’re crying right now?” Diddy asked. He went on to say, “I don’t know what’s going on up here, y’all. This is a competition. You have to kill it. End of discussion. We shouldn’t be talking no more.”
While Diddy wasn’t having Meghan’s emotion, she wasn’t having Diddy’s interruption. When Diddy continued to talk, Meghan tried to get him to stop, saying, “I didn’t get to talk. Can I just talk? Can I just talk? Can I just have an opinion?”
Diddy finally let her speak, and Meghan explained that she was upset because she didn’t think Kendyle was good enough to challenge Zhavia, but she let the other judges talk her into it. “I had to be very convinced to let her go through,” Meghan said, “and I’m heartbroken because I know Zhavia’s a star. And in my head, she was the winner.”
In the end, Diddy and Meghan hugged it out, but Meghan still had leave the stage and take a moment to collect her thoughts. While outside, Meghan said, “Zhavia should’ve stayed. And moving forward, I’m going with my heart and I’m not getting heartbroken like this ever again.”
The Four airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Fox. Watch clips and full episodes of The Four for free on Yahoo View.
