En Vogue, Bonnie Raitt, and Boyz II Men Highlight Ultimate #TBT
It was a flashback to the early ’90s on ABC’s summer series Greatest Hits, where some of that decade’s biggest stars took the stage for an awesome night of music.
The ladies of En Vogue came out hot with their massive 1992 hit “Free Your Mind,” from the Funky Divas album. While the group now performs as a trio, they sounded just as amazing as they did when they were a quartet, back in the day.
En Vogue wasn’t the only former quartet to perform as a trio. Boyz II Men has been down a member since 2003, when their bass singer, Michael McCary, left the group. The three remaining members put on a heck of a show, singing their debut single, “Motownphilly,” off of the Cooleyhighharmony album.
One of the best performances of the night was from blues-rock legend Bonnie Raitt, who joined forces with soul singer Andra Day. The two ladies started off with Bonnie’s classic “Love Sneakin’ Up On You” and followed it up with Andra’s hit “Rise Up.”
Greatest Hits airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
