Erika Jayne Denies Lip Syncing: ‘The Mic Is Always On’
In the past four years, Erika Jayne has been accused of many things. From having zero empathy for widows and orphans to having knowledge of her estranged husband’s crimes. Now that Erika is in her new era and back to performing, she’s being accused of lip-syncing.
At the fun-filled and fabulous white party held by Kyle Richards on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season finale, EJ was the featured performer. In attendance and seemingly coherent, Denise Richards watched Erika’s show and the RHOBH alum believes EJ went full Milli Vanilli. Now Erika responds in an interview with E! News.
“Good notes and bad notes…”
Erika took a pause from patting the puss and singing about how expensive it is to be her amid Tom Girardi’s legal issues. Now she’s back and allegedly better than ever but Denise wants to know if it’s live or if it’s Memorex (and if you got that reference, your reading glasses are on top of your head, darling).
When asked how she responds to Denise’s critique, Erika more or less brushed it off. “Well, here’s the thing,” she began. Keep in mind she’s being questioned by Kyle’s BFF Justin Sylvester, so regardless of what she says, this interview will go her way.
“You can hear the good notes and the bad notes,” she added. “So that’s how you know, there’s good notes and bad notes,” Erika said. Okay yes, good notes and bad notes, we get it. “And so there you go. I mean, that’s the way it is. The mic was on, the mic is always on. That’s how you get in trouble too, the mic is on,” she concluded.
Here’s what, I have no dog in this fight because to ascertain if Erika is indeed lip-syncing, one would have to watch a live show and pay attention to detail. I am simply not prepared to make that sacrifice at this time. But Denise isn’t the only one who thinks EJ is just mouthing along.
Amber already said it
Back in December 2023, dance music artist Amber called Erika out on Instagram. She shared a clip of EJ “singing” and wrote, “Why are you not taking out a mechanical license and just set up a little produced track yourself and add YOUR OWN vocals?” Andy Cohen needs to set up an impromptu live performance on Watch What Happens Live immediately so viewers can see if EJ is indeed lipsyncing for her life.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 reunion continues on Wednesday, March 6 at 8/7c on Bravo.
