ESPN's Troy Aikman Is 'in Trouble' With Swifties for Nickname He Gave Taylor Swift at Chiefs Game
Swifties knew Troy Aikman was trouble when he walked in to Monday Night Football.
The ESPN commentator and former football quarterback acknowledged that he may have made a mistake while talking about Taylor Swift during the singer's appearance at the Monday, Oct. 7 Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints.

The "Anti-Hero" songstress, 34, was in the crowd to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce during the game, but Aikman, 57, sparked some backlash by referring to Swift as Kelce's wife.
After the cameras cut to Swift clapping and cheering during Monday's broadcast following a good play from Kelce, 35, Aikman quipped, "The Mrs. likes it."
His partner, Joe Buck, then called him out for his choice of words, reminding him, "You know they're not married, right?"
Aikman, who seems to have already been aware that Swift and Kelce are still just dating, replied, "I'm sure I'm in trouble for saying that."
And it looks like he wasn't wrong.
Some fans on social media were put off by Aikman's statement, including one user who took to X (formerly Twitter) to say, "Dear Troy Aikman, DO NOT call Taylor Swift 'the Mrs.' It’s demeaning. Even if she WAS his wife. She’s Taylor Alison Swift—global superstar."
"Troy Aikman calling Taylor Swift 'the Mrs.' oughta go over well," another X user joked, while another person said, "Troy Aikmen [sic] seeing his career flash before his eyes after calling Taylor Swift 'the missus,' is hilarious."
Someone else said Aikman was "already preparing for the outrage he's going to receive" after the comment.
Others, however, argued that it wasn't a "big deal," including Buck, who told Aikman, "I mean, it happens."
