Euphoria Season 3 Finally Has a Start Date

Prepare to feel euphoric.

The third season of Euphoria will officially begin shooting in January 2025, HBO confirmed July 12.

“We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast," executive vice president of HBO programming Francesca Orsi told Variety. "We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”

The network also confirmed that the whole principal cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Storm Reid, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow and Eric Dane are set to return.

The production date arrives four months after the streaming platform shared that the third installment's kick-off would be delayed due to scripts still being written by creator Sam Levinson.

One month later, Zendaya—who serves as an executive producer along with playing the show's lead character Rue Bennett—confessed that she was in the dark on the fate of the teen drama.

"If it's right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course," Zendaya told Variety in an interview published April 16. "But it's beyond me."

Storm (Gia Bennett) seconded her on-screen sister's sentiments, telling E! News that same month, "If it's meant to be, we'll be back soon and we'll give the audience what they want and deserve."

"We're on pause right now," she continued, "but we're anxious to get back."

As for what fans can expect from Euphoria's third season? Jacob—a.k.a. Nate Jacobs—hinted that a time jump could be in order.

"I'm assuming that we're going to have to go forward," he said during a January appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon before quipping, "Otherwise it's going to seem like a weird bit."

The Saltburn actor added, "I hope [filming is] soon, otherwise they're going to have to Benjamin Button me or something. I'm going to have, like, a bad back, walking down the hallway."

Can't wait until 2025 for something new to binge? Keep reading to catch up on all the shows premiering this year.
